Costco Is Now Selling a Giant 4-Pound Pecan Pie for Thanksgiving Dinner

Updated: Nov. 27, 2023

It's four pounds of a whole 'lotta delicious.

If your family is anything like mine, one of the first parts of a meal that you must decide is…dessert! My family’s go-tos are cheesecake and banana pudding, but every once in a while, my grandma made a pecan pie that would knock our socks off. It was a treat we treasured dearly, to say the least.

So, if you’re having trouble deciding on a dessert to make your Thanksgiving utterly sweet, I’ll help you out. Costco’s got some of the sweetest options around. On top of that, they’re all HUGE. And yes…that includes some good ‘ol pecan pie!

Pe-CAN You Believe This Pie?!

You’re probably already well-versed in the kind of products Costco sells. They deal in basically everything huge and delicious, and we’re massive fans to say the least! And no matter how you pronounce it, you’re bound to love this pecan pie.

This four pound pie—yes, FOUR pounds—has all the caramelly, nutty flavor you know and love. From my experience, pecan pie tends to split the room in terms of taste. It’s sweet, crunchy and gooey all at the same time. Sometimes, it can even be a little savory or with a fleck of bitterness depending on the pecans themselves.

I’m not a huge fan of unfathomably sweet desserts, so I usually need an opposing flavor profile to combat all that sugar. The buttery, flaky crust helps a whole lot, too! You can expect all that and more from this Costco pie. Trust me!

How to Buy a Pecan Pie This Holiday Season

You can snag one on Instacart for just under $18, so you don’t even have to worry about leaving your house. Yes, the price may seem a bit steeper than you’re used to, but it’s more than worth the price. Does pecan pie need to be refrigerated? If you don’t happen to finish the pie in one go, pop the rest in the freezer for up to three months.

If you’re not into pecan pie, try Costco’s massive apple pie instead. And don’t forget a giant bottle of eggnog. Happy eating!
