Cinnamon Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cold butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • Melted butter
  • Cinnamon-sugar

Directions

  • In a bowl, combine dry ingredients; cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in milk just until moistened. Drop by 1/4 cupfuls onto a greased baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar. Bake at 450° for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm. Yield: about 1 dozen.

Recipe didn't say how much melted butter to use. I used 2 tbsp and it was too much. I would use about 1 tbsp next time. I think some diced apples would really make this flavorful, but I am not sure how this could easily be done.
