On a hot summer day, a refreshing beverage is essential. And while I always crave the smooth taste of iced tea, I don’t typically bother to make it. After all, the process can be a bit cumbersome. And most store-bought iced teas are too sweet for my tastes.

The tea over-ice steeping pitcher is a pretty and practical way to make iced tea. It features two stackable glass vessels: a large one on the bottom to chill and a small one on the top to steep. All in all, this iced tea pitcher can brew 24 ounces of your favorite blend. Each piece is also heat-resistant and dishwasher-safe.

Why I Love It
I’ve enjoyed Tea Forte’s luxury hot teas for years. (The Warming Joy collection is a personal favorite!) And while a cozy cuppa makes sense in fall and winter, it’s not a top priority in the summer months. But now, the Tea Forte iced tea pitcher helps me get my fix while staying cool.
Right away, I was impressed by the beautiful packaging. It’s one of my favorite attributes of the brand. Every piece is expertly wrapped in a stunning box. (Hello, last-minute gift for tea lovers that doesn’t even require wrapping!)
After unboxing, I gave the pitcher a quick wash. Then, it was iced tea time.
First, I put the kettle on to boil and chose my flavor (raspberry nectar). I unwrapped the pyramid and placed it inside the smaller pitcher. Next, I filled the larger pitcher with ice. When the water boiled, all I had to do was fill the small pitcher, place the lid and let it steep for five minutes. Easy-peasy!
Now, I will admit: on the first go, this step made me nervous. I’ve read one too many horror stories about Pyrex dishes exploding from thermal shock (aka when moving from ice-cold freezers to hot ovens) and I was worried the swift temperature change could harm the glass. But my anxieties were quickly put to rest. The Tea Forte iced tea pitcher showed no signs of breakage or cracking. The glass is just as durable as it is beautiful.
Once the tea steeps, simply pour it over the ice, and there you have it! Effortless iced tea. All that’s left is to add lemon slices, fresh berries or sweetener to your tastes.
When all’s said and done, the process takes no more than 10 minutes with easy cleanup as each pitcher is dishwasher-safe. And the tea pyramids are made with a durable mesh so there’s no need to worry about busted tea bags.
