My family prefers homemade macaroni and cheese over the kind you get out of the box. This recipe is an easy way to keep them happy. Whenever we have a family get-together, I bring this comforting dish. Its "from scratch" taste can't be beat. -Linda Gingrich, Freeburg, Pennsylvania

"My family and I just love this recipe, and I already have made it several times. For those of you that have taken it to gatherings, do you make it advance or what? I would appreciate your advice :)"

"The fat content was too high for me so I cut out the butter, changed the milk to skim and used low fat velveeta. OMG it was awesome. Brought the fat down to around 6 gm per serving. Definately in the acceptable range for me!"
