Well all the BBQ sauce came off and they burned. The few that were edible had little flavor. Very disappointed!

Easily overcooked in that last 5-10 min window. Gives them a burnt flavor. If cooked just the right amount they are full of flavor and the variations on this recipe for different flavors is endless. My kids ate them by the handfulls.

These peanuts, after all the mixing and baking and stirring, had no taste! They tasted like...dry roasted peanuts. Very disappointing.

This was a pretty easy recipe. Made these for a party and all the guys loved them! No one had ever had anything like it. I'll definitely be making these for all of our poker nights.

This recipe didn't work for me. I cooked at a lower temp for a slightly longer time than suggested to prevent scorching. The sauce never did soak in or dry up. The peanuts still tasted burned but with gooey barbecue sauce on them. I took them to a family gathering anyway where they sat untouched. The entire batch went in the trash afterward. I won't be making this recipe again.

I stirred these more often and turned the oven down and they STILL burned. I dug out a few that weren't so charred and the taste wasn't good either, hardly any barbeque flavor at all. Don't waste your time or ingredients on this one.

The first time I made these they burned also, but I turned the oven down the next time and stirred them more often. It worked and they were quite good.

Ive made something very similar as an experiment with left over buffalo sauce. I cooked them at 250F though so I'd hazard a guess that may have some bearing. I think it also makes a huge difference if cooking on gas or electric and even if it's propane or town gas.

This recipe is well worth trying but you might need to "play" with it a little and check/stir more frequently until you find how it cooks in your oven.

Hope that helps!

I don't know what the secret is to this recipe but they burned for me too. I even turned my oven down and as another poster suggested I stirred then frequently. I will not make these again as I had to throw the entire jar in the trash. Complete waste of time and money.
