Let's all please take a moment and be awesomely honest,... SPLENDA has a HORRIBLE aftertaste. So what is the point of enjoying a treat, only to have the afterglow of that lovely treat interrupted,- by that bitter "cream of tarter" like "too much sodium driven" aftertaste? Sorry, but I really wish that the makers of Splenda would eliminate that negative aftertaste. Then, Splenda would taste amazing!!!,-- right in this very recipe even!
it was a taste of home and the country living.
I think this recipe was delicious. Especially considering that iced tea is normally consumed on hot and humid summer days when your sugar and hydration levels need to be maintained, I don't really see too much of a problem with the sweetness. As afore mentioned, use a sugar substitute if the amount used is a concern.
How can it be good for you with 7.5 cups of sugar
If you notice it's 7.5 cups of sugar but it makes 5 batches which equals 1.5 cups per serving like everyone is suggesting. Sounds good to me!
