This air-fryer garlic bread turns out perfectly toasted in a hurry. I use fresh garlic, but substitute 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder if you don't have any fresh on hand. —Peggy Woodward, Shullsburg, Wisconsin

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh parsley or 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 8 slices ciabatta or French bread

Directions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 350°. In a small bowl, combine first 4 ingredients; spread over bread.
  2. In batches, arrange bread in a single layer on tray in air-fryer basket. Cook until golden brown, 2-3 minutes. Serve warm.

Air-Fryer Garlic Bread Tips

What other kinds of bread can you use for air-fryer garlic bread?

You can use any sturdy, crusty bread such as Italian, baguette or sourdough for this air-fryer garlic bread.

Can you add cheese to the top of air-fryer garlic bread?

If you'd like more cheese on your garlic bread, we suggest adding 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan or 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella to your garlic butter mixture before spreading over the sliced bread. (The air fryer fan could blow loose cheese off of the bread, but the butter mixture should hold it together.)

What can you serve with air-fryer garlic bread?

Garlic bread is a delicious side that pairs well with recipes using marinara, like our best-ever lasagna. If you’re looking for a lighter meal, serve garlic bread alongside tomato soup or Italian chopped salad. You can use up your leftovers in any of these recipes that start with garlic bread!

Can you freeze air-fryer garlic bread?

Yes! Arrange slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover with plastic wrap and transfer to your freezer. Once frozen, transfer to a freezer bag or airtight container. Freeze for up to 3 months. There's no need to thaw when you're ready to serve: simply remove as many slices as you want and follow the same method in the recipe, allowing 1-2 minutes longer cook time.
