  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 loaf (8 ounces) French bread, halved lengthwise


  1. In a small bowl, combine the butter, cheese and garlic powder. Spread mixture over cut sides of bread. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  2. Bake at 400° for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

    I make this all the time and sometimes add some Italian herb seasoning as well
