Corona Has a Trio of Spiked Sparkling Drinks—Is It Summer Yet?

Updated: Dec. 01, 2023

Look out for Corona Refresca before your next pool party. The tropical trio of flavored malt beverages looks tasty!

It’s that time of year when summer is calling your name. Well, maybe not quite yet, depending on where you live. But Corona is definitely ready for warm weather with this fresh line of tropical beverages. Corona Refresca sounds so perfect for a beach picnic!

Last year, the brand branched out beyond beer to bring us these fruity flavor sensations, and we’re already craving them again this summer.

The Corona Refresca Flavors Are Refreshing

The Refresca drinks are imported from Mexico and available in three tropical-inspired flavors: Coconut Lime, Guava Lime and Passionfruit Lime. Per 12-ounce serving, the new drinks clock in at somewhere between 178-191 calories and 4.5% alcohol/volume. The drinks remind us of premium sparkling water with a splash of alcohol, and could be a slightly more healthy way to indulge in an adult beverage or two.

Here are the tropical kitchen products you need to bring the beach to your kitchen!

Where Can I Get Them?

All Corona Refresca flavors are available at Walmart. You can even snag a 12-count variety pack for around $16. You can also get just the Passionfruit Lime, Guava Lime or Coconut Lime separately if you’re not feeling all of the flavors. You may have to head in-store for these fruity refreshers, though, since retailers may not ship alcohol to your state.

Nevertheless, these boozy bevvies are definitely worth a sip (or ten).

But Why Spiked Sparkling Drinks?

Because they’re super-popular right now! Corona followed in the footsteps of other beverage brands by introducing flavored sparkling drinks back in March of 2019. (You may have already seen Smirnoff’s Spiked Sparkling Seltzer and Henry’s Hard Sparkling Water, not to mention the ever-popular White Claw flavors.) The flavors remind us of trendy tropical desserts, too, especially the Coconut Lime. Yum!
