What happens if Choceur chocolates don't live up to your expectations? The Aldi return policy will come in handy.

Aldi stores have certainly gained a loyal following. Whether you’re on the hunt for pantry staples, meat or healthy food options, Aldi offers unbeatable prices. Plus, there are so many inexpensive seasonal items you can’t find anywhere else, from candy and desserts to decor.

But what if you’re not satisfied with a recent purchase from Aldi? The super-low prices and weekly deals are a major bonus, of course, but can you return something if it’s not what you hoped for? Here’s what you need to know about the Aldi return policy.

What Is Aldi’s Return Policy?

Aldi has a surprisingly generous return policy to make returns (and exchanges) a breeze.

  • You don’t need a receipt.  Receipts aren’t required for returns, and there is no limit on how many days can pass since your purchase on most items. If you don’t have your receipt, you’ll receive an Aldi gift card in the amount of the return.
  • You can return food. When you return an Aldi food product, you’ll get a full refund based on the original payment on your receipt. But it gets better! Aldi boasts a Twice as Nice Guarantee, which means the store will not only refund your money if you’re not satisfied with the quality of a product, but you’ll also get a replacement. Just be sure to return it in its original packaging, along with any unused product.
  • You can return non-food items, too. If you’re trying to return a non-food item or a product from a national brand, you can opt to get a refund or you can replace it.

Be sure to keep electronics purchases in mind, though. You only have 90 days to return those items, and you’ll need your receipt and the original packaging to do it.

Is There Anything I Can’t Return?

While Aldi’s return policy covers just about everything, alcohol can get a bit tricky. First, you won’t be able to return alcohol unless the state you live in allows it. Even if you’re in a state that allows alcohol refunds, you won’t get the Twice as Nice Guarantee replacement. Second, if you’re trying to return a non-food item that belongs to the Aldi Finds deals category, it’s a no-go. Usually, these items are home goods or seasonal items that are on sale for a super limited time.

Otherwise, everything else in the store can be returned for a full refund or replacement to make things easy. This means you can continue fueling your Aldi obsession!
