There's just something extra special about homemade applesauce. This simple recipe is tart and not too sweet. It makes the perfect side dish, especially with pork chops or a pork roast.Deborah Amrine, Grand Haven, Michigan

Great and so easy! Added extra cinnamon and a little nutmeg. For a special treat top with some Redi Whip type topping and its like eating apple pie with no crust!!

This was a pretty easy recipe to make, my husband LOVED it, but i thought it was a litle to cinnamonie for me. I also had to drain off the liquid before mashing because of how much came out of the apples.
