Glazed Chicken Wings

I received the recipe for these yummy baked chicken wings from a cousin on Vancouver Island during a visit there a few years ago. They're an appealing appetizer, but also a favorite for Sunday lunch with rice and a salad. —Joan Airey, Rivers, Manitoba

Ingredients

  • 2-1/2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce

Directions

  • Cut chicken wings into 3 sections; discard wing tip section. Place in a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Combine barbecue sauce, honey and soy sauce; pour over wings. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 50-60 minutes or until chicken juices run clear.

      This recipe is not only delicious, but it is very easy to make, no mess. These were AMAZING. I added some extra personal seasoning of my own, but the technique and temperature setting resulted in glazed and moist chicken wings! Thank you!!!

      A huge hit at our football party. These couldn't be easier to prepare. I reduced the soy sauce by half, just to cut the sodium a bit. I put the wings, without sauce, under broiler for a few minutes to crisp the skin a bit, then tossed them with the sauce in a large bowl before pouring all back into the baking dish. I also basted the wings several times while they baked. Will definitely make again and again.

      I do not know if it mattered, but I dipped the wings in the sauce first and then poured the remaining sauce on top. As mentioned before, I broiled them on a sheet pan for about 5 minutes per side to get them crispy.
