Blueberry Pancake Smoothie

My family loves this pancake smoothie in the morning. I don’t normally measure the blueberries, so go crazy! If you have fresh blueberries, I would recommend freezing the banana ahead of time. —Kailey Thompson, Palm Bay, Florida

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen unsweetened blueberries
  • 1/4 cup instant plain oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Dash sea salt


  • Place the first 6 ingredients in a blender; cover and process until smooth. Pour into 2 chilled glasses; sprinkle with sea salt. Serve immediately.

    I'm not a huge fan of almond milk so I use regular milk. Either way, this is a great breakfast smoothie to start my day. You can also switch out the fruit and change it up.

    This should be made with real milk to increase the quality of protein, higher calcium and B Vitamins especially B12 all of which is associated in helping children reach full height, development of their minds and helping girls and women meet their need of calcium preventing osteoporosis!

    A tasty smoothie that's simple to make. What more could you want in a breakfast drink? We added a bit more maple syrup because we are from New England!

    I will be adding this to my breakfast rotation! So yummy and very satisfying. I added a tiny bit of almond extract, otherwise everything as listed.
