How We Tested It
We tested the EggMazing Egg Decorator to see if it’s really better than decorating Easter eggs the traditional way (spoiler: we’re kissing vinegar goodbye for good). First, we popped in three AA batteries. Unfortunately, these aren’t included, so don’t forget to add them to the shopping list. Next, we turned on the decorator, plopped a hard boiled egg in the center and got to decorating. Simply press the tip of the marker on the egg and watch your vibrant designs come to life.
The toy is incredibly simple to use, yet equally entertaining even if you’re not a kiddo. I probably had a little too much fun perfecting my eggs with squiggles, stripes and mixed color patterns. That’s why the EggMazing Egg Decorator is a genius inventions for kids and adults alike. Sure, the design possibilities are somewhat limited to stripes (polka dots wouldn’t work), but there are endless customizations available by mixing colors and getting funky with the direction of each design. Within 20 minutes, I had a beautiful carton of eggs to admire.
We also tried the toy with hard- and non-hard-boiled eggs. If you’re short on time, regular eggs can easily be colored in the toy without cracking.
