While chocolates such as Cadbury Creme Eggs and Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs hold the top two spots, what about those who aren’t chocolate fans and are looking for something fruity in their Easter basket? Starburst Jelly Beans topped the favorites list in five different states. But why are classic Peeps so low on the list? These little marshmallow chicks have become an Easter staple for years. However, people may be buying them just for that reason, not because they actually love to eat them.

The survey found that 33% of Americans listed Peeps as their least favorite Easter treat. Those in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, West Virginia and New York would choose marshmallow chicks versus jelly beans, while those in South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin would choose jelly beans instead.
