Peeps is celebrating 70 years of marshmallow candy goodness with some unexpected flavors. On Jan. 9, the company unveiled new flavors of its popular Easter candy in an official press release, and the latest iterations of your favorite bunnies and chicks will transport you to a movie theater, a county fair and beyond!
The best part is you can soon discover which flavor is your new fave because the spring bites are available earlier than ever!
What Are Peeps’ 2023 Spring Flavors?
Three new flavors are hitting the shelves along with 14 returning favorite Peeps flavors. While people might disagree on the best way to eat Peeps, everyone can agree that there are enough flavors for everyone to have something they love! Plus, they’re one of our favorite gluten-free Easter candies.
The latest marshmallow candies include:
- Peeps Mike And Ike Flavored Pop: A twist on the popular Marshmallow Chick pop, this team-up with Mike And Ike brand candies brings together four Chick flavors—a first for Marshmallow Chick pops. Based on the Mike And Ike candies you know and love, the Chick pop features lemon, orange, lime and strawberry bites.
- Dr. Pepper Flavored Peeps Chicks: Another fun flavor in collaboration with Dr. Pepper, these are a Walmart-exclusive treat that combines the refreshing taste of Dr. Pepper soda with the sweetness of marshmallow flavor. For a Dr. Pepper beverage option, try out this Strawberries and Cream Dr. Pepper.
- Peeps Kettle Corn Flavored Marshmallow Chicks: Like the sweet and salty treat commonly sold at county fairs, Peeps Kettle Corn Flavored Marshmallow Chicks will incorporate Peeps beloved marshmallow taste with salty-sweet kettle corn goodness. These will only be available at Kroger stores, which include Kroger and Ralphs.
What else is available for spring 2023? There are 14 returning flavors this year, and here are some of the wild options you’ll find in stores nationwide:
- Peeps Hot Tamales Cinnamon Flavored Marshmallow Chicks: These spicy sweet marshmallow bites feature the hot cinnamon flavor of Hot Tamales candy.
- Peeps Sparkly Wild Berry Flavored Marshmallow Bunnies: Decorated with sparkly sugar confetti, the flavor combines berries like strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, cherry, cranberry and raspberry.
- Peeps Sour Watermelon Flavored Marshmallow Chicks: Like your favorite sour candies, these Marshmallow Chicks include a tangy pucker of sour watermelon flavor, mellowed out with a fluffy marshmallow finish.
- Peeps Fruit Punch Flavored Marshmallow Chicks: These Chicks feature a bright combination of fruit flavors—including fruit punch must-haves like pineapple and cherry.
- Peeps Party Cake Flavored Marshmallow Chicks: This birthday cake flavor takes marshmallow-y Chicks to the next level with that classic taste of frosted cake with sprinkles.
- Peeps Cotton Candy Flavored Marshmallow Chicks: Head to the carnival with a light, fluffy twist on Marshmallow Chicks. These bites feature the sugary, iconic taste of cotton candy.
Some location-exclusive flavors will also be available to purchase, such as Peeps Easter Essentials (available only at Sam’s Club), Peeps Delights Strawberry Flavored Marshmallow Dipped in Milk Chocolate (available only at Target and Cracker Barrel) and Peeps Tropical Burst Flavored Marshmallow Chicks (available only at Target).

Peeps 2023 spring flavors have already started hitting the shelves nationwide as of mid-January, so you can start biting into your go-to marshmallow candies soon.
