Open the can of coconut milk and place the firm coconut cream into a bowl of a stand mixer or a mixing bowl to use with an electric hand mixer. Leave the coconut milk liquid in the can and save it for another recipe.

Using the whisk attachment, mix on medium-high for 5 to 10 minutes, scraping down the sides of the mixing bowl as needed.
