How to Make a Giant Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookie

Updated: Feb. 18, 2024

Air fryer chocolate chip cookies are as tasty as they are easy to make.

What can’t air fryers do? Of course, you can make fried chicken and French fries in them, but really, the sky’s the limit when it comes to air fryer recipes. We’ve heard of cookies being made in air fryers, but a new viral TikTok recipe really caught our attention because it makes enormous air fryer chocolate chip cookies. Enormous, as in one giant cookie!

We never thought we’d take one cookie over a full dozen, but in this case, it’s true.

How to Make Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies

The video doesn’t actually show any prep work, but that’s probably because there isn’t a bunch of measuring and mixing going on. You only need to line the removable tray with foil and press in refrigerated cookie dough, then set the fryer to 350°F for 10 minutes.

The end result is a perfectly golden, giant cookie that’s wonderfully melty and gooey inside—and practically crying out for a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. If you’ve ever had a skillet cookie, this is the same concept with a lot less work and in a fraction of the time.

We tried it for ourselves, and we can confirm it tastes as good as it looks!

You Can Make These Cookies Anywhere

Air fryers have become popular because they achieve crisp textures like traditional frying but with a lot less oil. They’re also portable enough to work anywhere there’s an electrical outlet, like in college dorms without ovens or even on a camping trip. It sure beats a hot plate—remember those?

Get Creative

The recipe uses pre-made cookie dough, but there’s no reason you couldn’t use a favorite recipe of your own. And if traditional isn’t really your style, you can also mix things up with add-ins like Disco Morsels with edible glitter, colorful Funfetti morsels or even Baileys Irish cream chips. Time to get creative!
