The Verdict
With four recipe options, we opted to test Dolly’s Favorite Cinnamon Swirl Cookies (in hopes that they taste like her Dollywood cinnamon bread recipe), which is printed on the back of the box. We loved how easily the dough came together and that it required minimal additional ingredients that we had readily available in our pantry.
As for taste, the sugar cookies were the perfect balance of crisp and chewy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. Our cookie wreaths had the perfect amount of cinnamon and were great for those who want only a little icing drizzled on top rather than a thick layer smeared all over.
What we love most about this kit is its versatility. Unlike other sugar cookie kits that include just one recipe (maybe two if you’re lucky), this kit contains four festive recipes. There’s truly a recipe for everyone. Sugar cookie purists will enjoy the original recipe, while kids will adore the sugar cookie Christmas tree option. We can’t wait to pick up another kit to try one of the other recipe options.
