Reviews for Autumn Leaves Cupcakes
"I had a luncheon to go to and was asked to bring dessert. I made my favorite cake recipe and topped it with a great frosting. Then made a bunch of these beautiful leaves and arranged and heaped them in the middle of the cake. It made a beautiful presentation and everyone thought it was wonderful......(I should have taken a picture)"
"Very easy and they look beautiful. Everyone oohed and ahhhhed when they saw them. I'm going to use this easy decorating idea for flowers too."
"So cute! Thinking I may try cutting fruit roll-ups for the leaves."
"Keep plenty of sugar nearby and sprinkle it on the gumdrops every few passes with the rolling pin."
"Great for our bake sale - everyone loved them!"
"I thought this was such a beautiful and simple idea. I followed the very simple instructions and had excellent results. To get the multi-colored leaves, press together two or three different colored gumdrops and roll. You can re-roll out the scraps to get even more. What a great idea, thanks!"
"If you can not figure out how to do the gumdrops there is a video called Gumdrop Garnishes in the video section."
"I'm trying to rate this recipe and it won't let me change the Star rating. I would give it a one or a zero. This isn't really a recipe for cupcakes, it's for the topping. There is no easy way I can see to roll out gumdrops. It was not explained. I tried to roll them out from the bag and again after trying to soften in the microwave (tried after different amounts of time). Nothing worked except eventually they got too sticky! Maybe attaching a video or much more detailed instructions would work. They looked cute and I would have loved them to work."
"These turned out beautiful! Worth the extra time to make."
