We Made the Fun Pink Lemonade Fudge That People Can’t Stop Sharing

Updated: Dec. 06, 2023

This recipe is so easy, one TikTok creator made a batch of pink lemonade fudge on an airplane.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve reached for a Kool-Aid packet at the grocery store. However, thanks to the viral pink lemonade fudge recipe that’s blown up on TikTok, that’s no longer the case.

Made with nothing more than melted white chocolate, a can of sweetened condensed milk, a packet of pink lemonade-flavored Kool-Aid and your favorite color of sprinkles, pink lemonade fudge is sweet, sour and fun!

Bonus: As demonstrated by TikTok creator @patrickzeinali, the recipe is so easy it can be whipped up on an airplane. We’ll take that as proof that this is also a great kid-friendly recipe, perfect for even the littlest of test tasters in your kitchen.

Tip: Homemade fudge can be a little fussy, but it’s easy to make if you avoid these common fudge mistakes.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (.23-ounce) packet pink lemonade Kool-Aid drink mix
  • Sprinkles, for decoration

Directions

Step 1: Melt the white chocolate

Add the white chocolate to a microwave-safe mixing bowl. Place in the microwave and warm in 30-second intervals at 50% power, stirring after each time until the chips have melted to a smooth, silky consistency. In testing, our white chocolate required a total of six 30-second intervals (3 minutes total) to melt it to the right consistency.

Editor’s Tip: White chocolate is easy to ruin in the microwave so have patience and melt it low and slow. Do not be tempted to melt the chocolate at full power since this can cause the chocolate to seize, giving it a dry and lumpy texture. Keep in mind that the total time you’ll need to melt the chocolate in the microwave will vary depending on your microwave’s wattage. If you’re nervous, try one of these other chocolate melting methods.

Step 2: Combine the ingredients

Working quickly, while the chocolate is still warm, add the sweetened condensed milk and pink lemonade powder. Stir using a rubber spatula until the mixture has an even pink hue throughout. There should be no visible white streaks.

Step 3: Spread, sprinkle and set

Pour the mixture into a parchment-lined baking dish or glass food storage container and spread into an even layer. Sprinkle the surface generously with your choice of sprinkles and then cover tightly. Leave the fudge to set at room temperature for 2-3 hours until firm to the touch.

Editor’s Tip: We used a glass food storage container like this, but an 8×8-inch baking pan would also work. Your fudge will simply be a little shorter than ours once cut.

Step 4: Cut and serve

Once set, carefully remove the fudge from the pan and use a sharp knife to cut it into 1-inch cubes. Enjoy!

Why did my microwave fudge not set?

Fudge failing to set properly is a common fudge mistake. With microwave fudge, the temperature of your kitchen is likely to blame for fudge that remains too soft. If your kitchen is on the warm side, place the fudge in the refrigerator to let it finish setting no more than 30 minutes. Failing to properly melt your white chocolate by warming it too much or not enough can also cause your fudge to not fully set.

Can you let fudge set in the refrigerator?

We do not recommend setting this fudge in the refrigerator (unlike this 5-ingredient fudge). Setting this particular fudge in a refrigerator cools it too quickly and can cause it to crystallize and develop a grainy texture. For this reason, we recommend setting pink lemonade fudge at room temperature and only resorting to the refrigerator for a few minutes to firm up the fudge just before cutting if your kitchen is too warm for it to set completely on its own.

How to store fudge?

This fudge (and fudge made the old-fashioned way) should be stored in an airtight container or wrapped tightly in plastic wrap. Fudge can be stored at room temperature for 1 to 2 weeks.

What can I top my pink lemonade fudge with?

While we opted to decorate our pink lemonade fudge with rainbow sprinkles, it’s far from the only option. Try drizzling with additional melted white chocolate or add extra tartness with a sprinkle of sour Nerds!
