Parmesan Fettuccine

  • 8 ounces uncooked fettuccine
  • 1/3 cup butter, cubed
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper


  • Cook fettuccine according to package directions; drain.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over low heat. Add fettuccine and stir until coated. Sprinkle with cheese and pepper; toss to coat.

    My son made this for us the other night. There's nothing wrong with the recipe, but you really have to like pasta that's bland and plain--which he does. Personally, I prefer a good meat sauce.

    It was okay, not a lot of flavor. Maybe try with the sharper flavor or Pecorino Romano, a little crushed red pepper flake and some fresh parsley for brightness.

    Loved how easy this was. Doubled everything except the butter - and there was STILL a lot of butter. My kids loved it.

    This was easy to make and my daughter liked it. It wasn't anything special, but I might make it again if I need a quick side dish.
