Air-fryer fish recipes keep lunches and dinners simple. Add the cooked fish to tacos, burger buns, salads or wraps.

You don’t have to go to a restaurant for a quality fish fry. You don’t even need a deep fryer! For a quick dinner, pull out your air fryer. It won’t take long to cook salmon, cod or tuna with our air-fryer fish recipes. Serve the crispy fish on sandwich buns, add protein to salad recipes or pair with a salty scoop of homemade fries.

To avoid heating up the oven, make air-fryer sides too. Things like roasted green beans, kale chips and zucchini fries are some of our favorites to pair with salmon and tuna. For air-fried cod, try Brussels sprouts, herbed carrots or french fries.

You might be more accustomed to making salmon burgers, but tuna is another fish that works really well in patty form. Our recipe uses a pouch of tuna, but you can also buy tuna steaks and cook them yourself before grinding the meat and shaping it into a burger.

FAQs

Can you cook fish raw in an air fryer?

Yes. You don’t need to do any searing or browning for air-fryer fish recipes. The hot air in the fryer circulates well enough to cook your fish thoroughly. With a little oil, it shouldn’t even stick to the bottom of the basket.

Why is my fish not getting crispy in the air fryer?

If you overpack the basket of your air-fryer with fillets, they won’t get the crispy exterior you’re aiming for. This is because too much moisture is present. Though it would be nice to cook all your fish at once, it’s best to cook in batches to give enough room for air circulation. When more hot air circulates, the more crisp and evenly cooked fillets will be.
