McDonald’s Just Announced That It’s Bringing Back Hi-C Orange

Updated: Oct. 31, 2022

This is all happening because of McDonald's fans on Twitter!

We love brand-new products as much as the next people. (Hello, new doughnut McFlurry.) But we really love when brands bring back nostalgic products. Like with the fancy Viennetta ice cream and dippable Dunkaroos, we’re happy to see old friends again.

McDonald’s has been pretty great about this, bringing back classic ’90s Happy Meal toys and of course, the elusive McRib. Now, thanks to a legion of stubborn fans, McDonald’s Hi-C Orange is back!

People Are Obsessed with the Cold, Orange-y Goodness

The iconic drink, which has been around since 1955, was discontinued in 2017. But it seems McD’s finally received one too many emails and caved. The iconic Hi-C Lavaburst will be back on the menu in select markets, starting February 15. This refreshing Hi-C goodness will pair beautifully with everything on the menu, from McNuggets to Big Macs.

And if you’re not near the lucky locations getting the drink in February, Hi-C Orange Lavaburst will be back on regular rotation nationwide by the end of summer, allowing you to sip the non-carbonated drink to your heart’s content. And if you like your drinks fizzy, don’t worry—Fanta Orange will also be available to fill out the orange drinks roster.

When Can I Get a Sip?

McDonald’s hasn’t released a timeline for locations yet (boo!) but you can check the status of your nearest outlet by entering your ZIP code in the Hi-C Orange tracker on mcdfinder.com, which will be updated on a weekly basis. You can bet we’ll be keeping a very close eye on it!

So, anyway… does anyone want to start a petition to bring McDonald’s Mighty Wings back?
