Dairy Queen JUST Released Its Brand-New Menu for Spring 2021

Updated: Nov. 21, 2022

Plus, Dairy Queen made changes to the classic Dilly Bar.

DQ, everyone’s favorite cone connoisseur, has had some highs and lows this year. While they’ve been knocking it out of the park with the Blizzard of the Month (you’ve still got time to try the March flavor), they also cancelled Free Cone Day this year—though they had a really good reason.

However, with the announcement about this Spring Treat Menu, we’re willing to forgive and forget, because these new items look ridiculously good!

What’s New on the Dairy Queen Menu?

First up, of course, is the return of the Dreamsicle Dipped Cone, a fan favorite that’s perfect for sunny days. It features a classic wafer cone and DQ’s signature soft serve covered in a crunchy, creamy orange and vanilla-flavored coating. You can bet we’ll be ordering this one all summer long.

The new releases also include not one but three new shakes. The Chip Shake trio all star DQ soft serve blended with choco-chip confetti and real milk. The flavors include:

  • Choco Hazelnut Chip Shake, which is perfect for anyone who loves Nutella (so, all of us)
  • Mint Chip Shake for a refreshing pick-me-up
  • Raspberry Chip Shake, which is made with real raspberries for a sweet tang

You’ll have to wait to sample the Choco Hazelnut Chip Shake, which is coming soon, but the other two shakes are already at DQ.

We’re also seeing a new Slush on the menu—the Tropical Lemonade Twisty Misty Slush. It’s made with layered flavors of tropical mango, bright lemon-lime and tangy lemonade.

Are Dilly Bars Gluten Free?

They are now! The classic Dilly Bar now comes in a non-dairy, gluten-free option. The new version will be available year-round as a single-serve or 6-pack, and features a coconut cream filling covered in a crunchy chocolaty coating. It’s great news for people with dairy allergies or dietary preferences.

When Can I Try the New DQ Treats?

All the new items were available starting March 29 at participating DQ locations in the US. We’re headed over right now!

Psst…did you know Blizzards technically aren’t ice cream?
