I am SO tired of ratings made by folks who have altered the recipe and then rate it low! It's not fair to the recipe, and it's not helpful to the rest of us. For example: substituting almond milk for water is OF COURSE going to make the cocoa much sweeter and give it a different taste. When I looked up nutrition of almond milk, it has 15 gm (3&2/3 tsp)of sugar/cup, so 6&1/2 Cups of almond milk has about 1/2 CUP of sugar! No wonder it's sweet - that's 4 tsp per serving! Make it according to the recipe first, then if you want to make some changes, it will mean something to the rest of us. If it weren't a 90º hot summer day, I'd make some right now. As it is, I'll save the recipe to try when it's cooler. Thanks.

I did not care for this, I just tried it tonight and will try a different recipe in the future. I used almond milk instead of water. This was very sweet I could taste vanilla with the bitter cocoa aftertaste.

Very good, but I did make some changes. I used 6 c. of 1% milk and 1/2 c. half and half (since that's what I had on hand) and I used almond flavoring instead of vanilla. I swirled whipped cream on top and sprinkled it with cinnamon. Everyone loved it.I disagree that it wasn't sweet enough. I actually thought it was a bit too sweet, but a little more milk could have fixed it.

Good chocolate taste... not sweet enough at all. Very bland. It should not be called "creamy" either because it's not creamy at all.... maybe make it with milk instead of water and add a little sugar... I won't be making this again.
