How to Order a Buddy the Elf Frappuccino from the Secret Menu at Starbucks

Someone call Santa, 'cause there's a Buddy the Elf Frappuccino coming down the chimney at Starbucks.

When it comes to Christmas movies, there are a few classics that immediately come to mind. No, we’re not talking about the unending marathon that is the Hallmark movie channel—we’re talking about those lovable, quotable flicks we just can’t stop watching. How the Grinch Stole Christmas, A Christmas Story and, of course, Elf!

We love Buddy the Elf for his childlike innocence, sense of adventure and…unique palate. He’s got the perfect personality to have a Starbucks secret menu drink named after him. No spaghetti required!

How to Order a Buddy the Elf Frappuccino

It’s super simple, mighty delicious and comes to us from TotallytheBomb. The jolly red man himself wouldn’t even be able pass up this opportunity. Let’s get started!

First, you’re going to start with a Green Tea Frappuccino. It doesn’t matter what size you choose, but Venti means there’s more to enjoy! Make sure you note that peppermint syrup is going to be substituted for the classic syrup that typically comes with the Green Tea Frappuccino. You can’t have a Christmas-themed drink without a little bit of peppermint, now can you?

After it’s all nice and blended, all you need is a whipped cream topping and red and white sprinkles. If the sprinkles aren’t available, don’t worry. Ask for a bit of loose matcha powder on top for the finishing effect. Or, better yet, bring some festive sprinkles of your own. Buddy would be so proud of you!

Spread Some Christmas Cheer

We all love a creative new take on our favorite Frappuccinos, but keep the baristas in mind when you order anything off the secret menu. Starbucks baristas aren’t trained on secret menu drinks, so the Buddy the Elf Frappuccino or even the spooky Jack Skellington Frappuccino may earn you some sideways looks if you order them by name. To stay off that list of barista pet peeves, have the recipe pulled up or memorized before you put in your order at the drive-thru.
