You Can Finally Buy Harry Potter-Inspired Butterbeer Jelly Beans

Updated: Sep. 28, 2023

This is even better than Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans.

You don’t have to wait for the Honeydukes Express to come around to indulge in a Wizarding World treat. I’m not talking about chocolate frogs or pumpkin pasties, though I’m obsessed with those, too. It’s more like Bertie Bott’s beans, but with no disgusting flavors. Instead, think of a bewitching cross between a classic Three Broomsticks beverage and Bertie Bott’s beans.

It’s a barrel of butterbeer jelly beans!

What do we know about the Harry Potter jelly beans?

The jelly beans come to us courtesy of iconic candy company Jelly Belly, which is surprisingly not located in Hogsmeade. This is the first time the Wizarding World drink is available in jelly bean form!

For any Muggles who haven’t tried butterbeer, the drink is like a creamy butterscotch soda. In other words, these jelly beans will most likely taste like chewy creamy butterscotch soda. Pair the Harry Potter jelly beans with a batch of butterbeer cookies and an ice-cold butterbeer, and it will be even better than a night at the Three Broomsticks.

What do the butterbeer jelly beans taste like?

For starters, I was pleasantly surprised by the adorable mini size of the package. Each bean shimmers like no jelly beans I’ve ever had before, which befits the magical Harry Potter theme. And the taste? I loved this chewy candy! The butterbeer jelly beans have a sugary, delightfully sweet butterscotch flavor in a way that doesn’t overwhelm. These beans offer a taste of the Wizarding World that I could enjoy at any movie night.

Where can I find butterbeer jelly beans?

Head to Jelly Belly’s website to find 1-ounce bags in a 24-count case for $31.99. The mini bags are perfect to give out on Halloween or as a favor at a Harry Potter party. Or use the website’s local product finder to find them near you.

If you want to go all out during your next Harry Potter marathon, the website has other Wizarding World treats available as well. From Butterbeer Chewy Candy to Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans and chocolate frogs, Jelly Belly has us covered.

Of course, if you want to whip up your own Harry Potter potions at home, try out these Harry Potter-inspired recipes. Either way, I’m here for having a feast worthy of the Great Hall!
