Quick Caramel Apple Dip
Total TimePrep/Total Time: 15 min.
- 1 package (14 ounces) caramels
- 20 large marshmallows
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- Apple slices
- Place caramels in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 1 minute. Add marshmallows; microwave for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted, stirring occasionally. Whisk in butter and cream until combined. Serve with apple slices. Refrigerate leftovers.

Good, but makes a massive amount. I'll cut the recipe in half next time. That will also solve the problem of having to buy 2 bags of caramels to get to 14 oz.

Beware - caramels come in 11 oz. bags now. Most recipes still say 14 oz. because that was the standard for so long. It seems the good old days are gone.

Does this get hard after it's served or do I need to keep it warm? Such as serve in a crock pot.

i just put everything in a crock pot on low and served it warm and all was gone in no time.

Brought this to the office Christmas potluck and it was a big hit. A little messy tp make - the caramels are sticky as you would expect, but it tasty and gets recipe request! Thanks for a good recipe!

I made this for a baby shower...it was simple and delish!
