Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons grated lime zest
  • 1/4 cup tequila
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons Triple Sec

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar, water and lime zest. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved; remove from heat. Cool completely. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a small bowl; discard lime zest. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and store in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
