Margarita Snow Cone Syrup
I've tried pretty much every kind of margarita under the sun, but this snow cone version turns my favorite drink into even more of a party. —Monique Perez, Chicago, Illinois
Total TimePrep: 5 min. Cook: 5 min. + cooling
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 teaspoons grated lime zest
- 1/4 cup tequila
- 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons Triple Sec
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar, water and lime zest. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved; remove from heat. Cool completely. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a small bowl; discard lime zest. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and store in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
