In reply to no one liking peanuts anymore...I'm sure they like peanuts but so many people are allergic to peanuts now a days that you can't put peanuts in something especially in schools.

My daughters and I started making this in large batches and unique holders as holiday treats for "children" of all ages! I don't recall anyone ever not enjoying it and asking for more! It's fun to make, easy to make and very well received. My collection of Taste of Home magazines, accumulated over many years, recently burned in my major house fire. This is one of the recipes I couldn't wait to see again! I will surely copy it and start a recipe book or box of my favorites!! Thumbs up to Taste of Home and Thank you, thank you, thank you!!Surrogate Mom

whats up with no one liking peanuts? The recipe is great, although the ingredients add up, making profits low. I'd rather make more of something less expensive to donate for a bake sale.

I would not add peanuts, but you could add colored cereal, gold raisins, mini shredded wheat, pieces of dried fruit like apricots and cranberries-- 1/2 cup for 50 cents
