This is a family favorite and a great comfort food on a cold winterday.
Ingredients
salt and pepper
6 chicken breasts
1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (7 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
1/3 to 1 c. milk
6 squares butter
Directions
Place seasoned breasts in 9 x 13 baking dish. Put a small square of butter in each piece to brown. Brown in 400 degree oven. Combine soup, mushrooms and milk; pour over chicken breasts. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 1 hour or until done.
