This gravy is so good, I could eat it like a creamy soup.

Ingredients

1 tbs all purpose flour
1 1/2 tbs corn starch
3 tbs unsalted butter
1 yellow onion, pealed clean, and chopped finely
4 cups chicken stock, I used Kitchen Basics unsalted chicken cooking stock
3 tbs spiced apple butter
1 tsp black ground pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
4 ounces of cream cheese
1/2 tsp poultry seasoning, I used McCormick Brand
2 pinches of salt, or more to taste

Directions

In a medium to large pot, put your onions, and butter. Saute on medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring often. Add flour and corn starch and stir for a couple more minutes while still heating. Then add your remaining ingredients and bring to a boil stirring often. After it starts to boil, turn off heat, and use an immersion blender to get gravy silky smooth and creamy. You could also use a blender if you prefer. Once this is done, if gravy is not as thick as you would like, you can turn heat back on, and simmer until it gets a little thicker. Gravy will also thicken when it starts to cool. Serve hot.
