Apple Onion Saute
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 large tart apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
- 1. In a small saucepan, cook onions and brown sugar in butter over medium-low heat for 8-10 minutes or until onions are tender. Stir in the apples, salt and pepper; cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until apples are tender.
3/4 cup: 137 calories, 6g fat (4g saturated fat), 15mg cholesterol, 209mg sodium, 22g carbohydrate (17g sugars, 3g fiber), 1g protein.

Great recipe! Needing to use up leftover onions and apples, this was the perfect side dish for fall roast beef dinner. Easy to prepare. To give it little more zip, next time may add a little vinegar.
