Reviews for Guacamole
"As is, we thought this recipe was rather bland. Needs some cilantro and half jalapeno pepper, minced. Lemon or lime juice works just as well. Probably increase salt to half tsp. (depending on the size of the avocado and tomato)."
"It was a hit with the family, and we try all kinds of guacamole recipes! I loved the addition of green chilies and fresh tomatoes and onions in place of canned salsa."
"Very Good. Lime juice works as well or better than lemon. As to the person who said it was too acidic. . . . .when you consume lemon juice, it becomes alkaline inside your body and actually helps to balance your acidic levels. Lemon is VERY, VERY good for you."
"Excellent... added garlic salt as well."
"We used lime juice instead of the lemon juice and also added cilantro. It was delicious!"
"Made with 2 avacados, the juice of a small lemon, onion and one chopped tomato. Did add the salt. Didn't realize I had forgotten the green chilis until it was ready to go on the table. Didn't miss them and the guacamole was terrific! Will definitely add this to my recipe file as a keeper."
"Great recipe! I double or triple this as my 2 and 5 year olds gobble this stuff up."
"A keeper! I made this recipe twice. the second time, i added a bit less lemon juice and enjoyed the taste just as well as following the recipe the first time."
"This is so good. I doubled it and had it stored in my fridge. My husband and some buddies dropped by and three men who swore they hated avocado scarfed it down in no time flat."
"Delicious! Glad it doesnt call for sour cream or cream cheese like some other reciepes do."
"I've made this using garlic salt and lime juice - quite good."
"So very yummy! I can't get enough!"
"Lite, good tasting, easy to make."
"I would have to say that I LOVE this recipe with one exception... I thought it was WAY too acidic the first time I made it. I cut WAY back on the lemon juice the second time, and it was soooo delicious!!"
"Great recipe! I've never made guacamole before and this was so easy & is delicious. Will definitely make again."
"The BEST guacamole!"
"This is the bomb! (That means it's great!) I've always loved Guac but had never made it because I'm the only one in my family who likes it. This was so easy and good!"
"Quick and easy with ingredients I usually have on hand. :)"
"I substituted lime juice for the lemon juice--it was outstanding"
"I loved this recipe, it was easy to do and taste great!"
"It was a great recipe. My family enjoyed it very much. Yes I'd make it again."
"Very easy and the whole family loves it! I usually make a double batch."
"My husband said it was the best guacamole he has ever had. This was my first time making it."
"very good but kind of watery, I wish I could make it thicker somehow"
"We really like this recipe. We made it as given and also made it without the chiles and garlic so it was extra mild for our children. Not a bit of either was left over!"
Enjoy this recipe with a sparkling wine.
