Bacon Cheese Fries

These tempting bacon cheese fries are one finger food I can make a meal of. Quick to fix, they're a hit at parties and as a snack. Ranch dressing is a tasty alternative to sour cream. —Marilyn Dutkus, Laguna Beach, California

1 package (32 ounces) frozen french-fried potatoes

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

4 green onions, thinly sliced

4 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled

Ranch salad dressing

Sliced red chile pepper, optional
Directions

Cook French fries according to package directions. Preheat broiler. Place cooked fries on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with cheese, onions and bacon. Broil 2-3 in. from heat until cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes. If desired, top with sliced chile pepper. Serve with ranch dressing.
