– 1 unbaked pie crust – 1 cup white sugar – 3 Tbsp. dark brown sugar – 1/2 tsp. salt – 1 cup light corn syrup – 3/4 tsp. vanilla extract – 1/3 cup salted butter – 3 eggs – 1 cup chopped pecans
Ingredients:
- Mixing bowl set - Silicone spatula - Pie plate
TOOLS:
Prepare your pie crust
1.
Roll out the dough and place it in a pie plate. Once the dough is pressed into the pie plate, poke the bottom with a fork for venting.
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Whisk together white sugar, brown sugar, salt, corn syrup, vanilla extract, melted butter and eggs until smooth.
Mix the filling
2.
Spread the chopped pecans in the pie pastry in an even layer. Pour the filling mixture over top. The pecans will rise to the top.
Add the filling
3.
Bake for at least 50 minutes until set. The pie is ready when the filling just barely jiggles. Allow to cool for several hours.
