Learn how to cook rice using three simple methods that'll make fluffy rice every time.

Boil ingredients. Bring the water (butter and salt, if desired) to a boil in a large saucepan. Stir in rice.

For more flavor, try using broth or coconut milk!

Simmer. Once it reaches a boil, cover and reduce to a simmer. Cook until tender, about 12-15 minutes.

Resist the urge to lift the lid, it interrupts the cooking.

Serve and enjoy. Remove rice and let it stand, covered, for a few minutes. Fluff with a fork.

Combine water and rice. Pour rinsed rice and water (1:1 ratio) into the machine, cover and press start.

Rinse your rice several times before cooking—otherwise it will bubble and foam!
