Taste of Home Let’s Do Lunch Contest (#336) Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE AN ENTRY’S CHANCE OF WINNING.

Taste of Home Let’s Do Lunch Contest (#336) (the “Contest”) is sponsored by RDA Enthusiast Brands, LLC (“Sponsor”), the publisher of Taste of Home and a part of the Trusted Media Brands, Inc. family of brands.

1. Eligibility: This Contest is open to legal U.S. residents residing in one of the 50 United States or District of Columbia, who are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in the jurisdiction of their residence at the time of entry, whichever is older (“Entrant”). Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor and its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiary companies, judging agents and promotion partners, and their immediate families (parents, children, siblings, spouse) or members of the same household (whether related or not) of such employees/officers/directors are not eligible to participate. Any eligible person who has won the grand prize in any Taste of Home recipe contest within one (1) year prior to the start date of this Contest may enter and participate. However, such individuals shall be ineligible to be selected as the grand prize winner in this Contest but remain eligible to win other prizes offered in this Contest. Contest is void where prohibited by law or otherwise regulated.

2. How To Enter: Beginning on March 1, 2025 at 12:00 am Eastern Time through May 31, 2025 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time (the “Contest Period”), visit www.tasteofhome.com/recipecontests and follow the on-screen entry instructions. All entries must include your full name, address, city, state, zip/postal code, telephone number and email address. Entries submitted in geographic areas in which the entry is not permissible will be disqualified. If entries do not contain all necessary information, Entrant will be disqualified. Please be certain to follow all directions. There is no limit on the number of entries per Entrant. However, each entry must be original, featuring a different original recipe. Duplicate entries will be disregarded. Sponsor is the official timekeeper for this Contest. In the event the Contest is entered via a mobile device, Message and Data charges may apply.

3. Entry Requirements: Entrants must submit a recipe that is the original work of Entrant and not previously published (the “Entry”). You may use other recipes for inspiration, but you must make your own unique ingredient and cooking instruction changes in order for the recipe to be considered. Each submitted recipe must not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights of any person or entity. All entries must be created by a natural person without the benefit of computer scripts, automated processes or Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) generated or edited text. If there is any question to whether a given computer process qualifies as AI, Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion, will decide the entry’s eligibility. The Entry must meet all specifications set forth by Sponsor in these Rules, including, without limitation, format, and any other specifications. The Sponsor reserves the right to prescreen the submitted Entries and to disqualify any Entry for any reason. The Sponsor is under no obligation to disclose why an Entry has been disqualified other than the Entry was ineligible under these Rules. Entrants also agree that the Sponsor shall have no obligation to use any Entry, that any and all use will be in the Sponsor’s sole discretion, and that use of an Entry does not guarantee selection as a winner.

All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, delayed, garbled, illegible, incomplete, or misdirected entries.

4. Grant of Rights: By submitting a recipe for this Contest, Entrant hereby grants Sponsor, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners and licensees an exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, unrestricted use and license of all rights to the Entry, including without limitation, all rights of any kind and nature, whether now known or hereafter devised, including the right to publish Entrant’s recipe and any other information provided worldwide, in any and all media (now or hereafter existing), for any purpose, without further compensation, in perpetuity. This includes the right to use Entrant’s name, likeness, voice, biographical information, and hometown (e.g., city and state) in connection therewith, for any purposes, including without limitation, for advertising and trade purposes, without further compensation or authorization, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, unless prohibited by law. Entrant hereby waives all so-called “moral rights of authors” and “droit moral” rights (and any similar or analogous rights under the applicable laws of any country of the world). Entrants agree and acknowledge that no public performance, synchronization, mechanical, publishing and/or master use royalties, monies or consideration of any kind will be payable in connection with each Sponsor’s use of the Entry, whether commercial use or otherwise, in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter devised.

For Winners, the publishing rights granted above shall be exclusive to Sponsor, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, and licensees for use in any magazine, cookbook, and/or any other media (now or hereafter existing) for a period of one year after the Prize Notification Date; following such period, such publishing rights shall continue on a non-exclusive basis.

Sponsor reserves the right to edit, modify, translate, reproduce and distribute the submitted material in any medium and in any manner as it deems appropriate. Sponsor tests selected recipes and reserves the right to alter them as it deems appropriate. By submitting a recipe for this Contest, Entrant further agrees that Sponsor may, in its discretion, select Entrant’s recipe for use in one or more future “best of”, roundup or similar recipe contests conducted by Sponsor, and Entrant consents to their recipe’s participation in such contests under the applicable rules for such contest(s). Sponsor may contact Entrant via phone or email regarding Entrant’s submission. Entrant agrees that, if their entry is deemed ineligible, the opportunity for the entry to receive publicity is the sole and sufficient consideration due to Entrant and that the license granted by Entrant herein shall be and remain valid and irrevocable.

5. Judging: All eligible entries received during the Contest Period will be reviewed and scored by a Sponsor-appointed panel of judges consisting of Taste of Home food experts. All eligible entries will be judged based on the following criteria:

  • Taste: 25%
    • Does this recipe taste great with every bite? Does it have mass appeal? Would you want to make this recipe over and over again based on taste alone? Does it contain interesting, yet gratifying flavor combinations?
  • Visual Appeal: 25%
    • Does this recipe present beautifully on a plate or in a baking dish? Do your eyes make you want to eat this before you even smell or taste it?
  • Creativity: 25%
    • Is the recipe your original idea? Is the recipe reflective of unique twists to ingredient usage? Have you incorporated your personal touch to this recipe?
  • Crowd Appeal: 25%
    • Does your recipe appeal to fellow home cooks everywhere? Does the recipe have easy-to-find everyday ingredients and is it easy to make? Does the recipe have a story that will inspire many others to make it?

The top three (3) scoring entries as determined by the judges based on the judging criteria, will be deemed potential winners in order of highest to lowest score. In the event of a tie at any stage of the judging, the highest score in the Creativity criterion will break the tie. Decision of the judges is final and binding on all matters relating to this Contest.

6. Winners and Prizes: A total of three (3) winners will be selected as follows: one (1) first place winner will be awarded USD $500; one (1) second place winner will be awarded USD $300; and one (1) third place winner will be awarded USD $150. The total value of all prizes in this Contest is USD $950.00. Prize limit is one (1) prize per household. The first place winner in this Contest will be ineligible to win first place in any other Taste of Home recipe contest for one year following the close of this Contest Period, but they may enter such contests for which they are otherwise eligible and may win other prizes in such contests. Each prize is not transferable and cannot be substituted or assigned by the winner, unless prohibited by law. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value in the event that the stated prize cannot be awarded for any reason. All taxes, if any, are the winners’ responsibility. Sponsor will not be responsible for any loss, liability or damage arising out of the acceptance or use of the prize(s). All prizes are guaranteed to be awarded, assuming a sufficient number of qualifying entries is received and meet the minimum judging criteria. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize.

7. Notification Process: Potential winners will be determined by Sponsor, whose decisions are final in all respect and notified on or about August 14, 2025 (the “Prize Notification Date”), by email. Any potential winner will be required to sign and return a Winner Confirmation and Release Form within thirty (30) days of prize notification attempt or be disqualified and prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. Return of prize or prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. A potential winner who completes the required documents and whose documents are reviewed by the Sponsor and meet the requirements in these Official Rules will be deemed a “Winner.”

8. Conditions: By entering this Contest, participants agree to be bound by these complete Official Rules and Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, accessible at www.tmbi.com/privacy-policy. Sponsor is not liable for any malfunctions or failures of any telephone network or lines, computer internet system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer, mobile or any other device and/or its contents related to or resulting from participation or downloading/uploading any materials relating to this Contest, or other technical difficulties or failures or other errors of any kind. Sponsor reserves the right to terminate or modify the Contest at any time for any reason. In such a circumstance, all winners will be selected based on entries received to date of termination. Sponsor also reserves the right to modify this Contest in the event an insufficient number of entries are received and/or an insufficient number of entries meet the minimum judging criteria.

In the event that two similar entries are received, only the entry judged to best meet criteria as set by Sponsor will be included in the final judging. Entrants agree to waive all right to, indemnify and hold Sponsor, its affiliated and subsidiary companies harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, loss, damage, or expense arising out of or in connection with this Contest. In the event of any dispute regarding the identity of an entrant who submitted an online entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used for the entry at the time of entry will be deemed the entrant. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institute) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Any potential winner may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that such winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the operation of the website or the entry process.

9. No Recourse to Judicial or Other Procedures/Severability: To the extent permitted by law, the rights to litigate, to seek injunctive relief or to make any other recourse to judicial or any other procedure in case of disputes or claims resulting from or in connection with this Contest are hereby excluded, and any entrant expressly waives any and all such rights. In the event that a court of competent jurisdiction finds the foregoing waiver unenforceable, entrants hereby consent to the jurisdiction and venue residing exclusively within the federal or state courts sitting in Milwaukee County in the State of Wisconsin, U.S.A. and agree that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. Entrants agree that these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, U.S.A., without reference to principles of conflicts of law. If any provision(s) of these Official Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.
