"This speedy stuffed apple is a great snack for a family hike," comments Mrs. John Crawford from Barnesville, Georgia. "In a brown-bag lunch, it's a nice change form the usual peanut butter and jelly sandwich."

  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon raisins
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 medium apple, cored


  • 1. In a small bowl, combine peanut butter, raisins and honey. Spoon into center of apple. Yield: 1 serving.

"Ingenious idea. However, it can be a little messy to eat, so make sure you wipe all filling off the apple when you make it. Next time I think I'll add some minced celery."
