Tyler Smith’s Buckeye PB Oreo Pizzookie
Ingredients
- 2 packages chocolate cake mix
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup water
- 6 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 6 to 8 peanut butter cups, optional
- 6 to 8 Oreo cookies, plus additional for garnish, optional
- Vanilla or peanut butter ice cream
- Chocolate syrup
Directions
- Preheat the grill, smoker or oven to 350°. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, water and oil until thoroughly mixed. Pour half the cake mix into a seasoned 9.5-inch cast-iron skillet, and spread evenly.
- In a separate microwave-safe mixing bowl, mix the peanut butter and confectioners' sugar. Warm in the microwave for 10-15 seconds. Layer over chocolate cake mixture.
- If desired, top peanut butter mixture with peanut butter cups and Oreo cookies. Spread remaining cake mixture evenly over top.
- Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean, 25-30 minutes.
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving warm with ice cream, chocolate syrup and crushed Oreo cookies.
