Sweet Strawberry Butter
- 1 package (10 ounces) frozen sweetened sliced strawberries
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- Bagels, English muffins, split or toast
- 1. In a blender or food processor, combine the strawberries, butter and sugar; cover and process for 3 minutes or until completely blended. Serve with bagels, English Muffins or toast.
1/4 cup: 213 calories, 17g fat (10g saturated fat), 45mg cholesterol, 169mg sodium, 18g carbohydrate (16g sugars, 0 fiber), 0 protein.

I really like this fruity butter! I just enjoyed some on a piece of sourdough toast :) This would taste great on muffins, and I think on corn-on-the-cob too. I would advise adding the strawberries in slowly until you get the right consistency with the butter and sugar. I used fresh strawberries, and for 1/2 c. of butter and 1/2 c. sugar only needed 3 medium-sized berries.

My mom and I did this butter because we were curious on how it would taste. It does taste good and it is easy to do, but I usually do not eat bakery products that need butter so I really can't find where to use it other than my toasts. :-(

This exactly the same recipe, that my family has used for generations. I make it on Thanksgiving and Christmas and serve it for breakfast with nut bread. This recipe is simple and delicious. I always get request for more of the butter and the recipe.
