Strawberry Spritzer

Three simple ingredients are all you need to create this fresh and fruity summer beverage. It's bound to become a warm-weather favorite.—Krista E Collins, Concord, North Carolina
  • Total Time
    Prep/Total Time: 10 min.
  • Makes
    2-1/2 quarts

  • 1 package (10 ounces) frozen sweetened sliced strawberries, thawed
  • 2 liters lemon-lime soda, chilled
  • 1 can (12 ounces) frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed

  • Place the strawberries in a blender; cover and process until pureed. Pour into a large pitcher; stir in the soda and lemonade concentrate. Serve immediately.

Test Kitchen Tips
  • Muddle (a fun term that simply means smush against the side of your glass) a few sprigs of fresh mint or basil to step this spritzer up a notch.
  • Lighten this up by using seltzer water instead of soda. So refreshing!

I first made this for my son's wedding rehearsal. It went over so well but then I realized that people were putting the drink in their cups and adding vodka. Have made this drink for every holiday since then. I usually double the recipe and use 1 frozen lemonade and 1 frozen pink lemonade. I buy an extra bag of strawberries and float them frozen instead of using ice cubes. Excellent drink.

This is a delicious punch-like party drink that kids and adults will love. I couldn't find sweetened strawberries, so I used unsweetened frozen strawberries and added a tablespoon of sugar to the mix. My only recommendation is to add some of the lemon lime soda to the frozen strawberries while blending. This makes it much easier to puree the berries.

This was refreshing and delicious! I also made a lower sugar version with Sprite Zero and diet lemonade. Both were great. It was so pretty in my glass pitcher with lemon slices.

Can't this be made with plain frozen strawberries? There is so much sugar. The syrup shouldn't be missed if we do.
