Sour Cream & Cheddar Biscuits

Ingredients

2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour

3 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons sugar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 cup cold butter, cubed

1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

3/4 cup 2% milk

1/2 cup sour cream

TOPPING:

6 tablespoons butter, melted

1-1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon minced fresh parsley

Preheat oven to 450°. In a large bowl, whisk the first 7 ingredients. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; stir in cheese. Add milk and sour cream; stir just until moistened.

Drop by 1/4 cupfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Mix topping ingredients; brush over tops. Bake until light brown, 12-15 minutes. Serve warm.
