Reviews for Saucy Chicken Thighs
"Simple and delicious."
"easy and delicious! Followed the directions exactly with the exception of broiling the chicken thighs, because I was in a hurry. I literally threw frozen chicken thighs into the slow cooker, poured the sauce over it and forgot it for five hours. The chicken was moist and tender, with plenty of sauce to go around! I did thicken the sauce a bit by taking 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid and whisking in 1 tablespoon of flour and then returned it to the slow cooker. Served it with hot buttered rice and corn on the cob. Will definitely make this again. I bet this would be great with pork chops too!"
"This Was Delicious!! would be great on pork chops........ will definitely be making this again!"
"This was good, but not fabulous. I think I'm going to use a better bbq sauce.....I just used an off brand and that was probably stupid of me, lol! But it didn't sit well with my tummy. Not the recipes fault....."
"This is a wonderful weeknight dish. It's great to come home from work and have this all ready to go. I like serving it with rice pilaf. The sauce is so good!"
"Awesome and delicious and can be adjusted for a smaller family"
"My husband and step son love this! easy and great taste!"
"Great taste and very tender! Used boneless chicken thighs instead and cook for 4 1/2 hours on low."
"I will definitely make this again. My husband commented several times about how good this was. The recipe was very easy to prepare and very economical."
"Have made this recipe many times....always well received. Great when you might be expecting more folks for dinner. Ever since we first tried this I always use this recipe anytime I use bbq sauce...was awesome on ribs."
"This was fall off the bone moist and tasted very good. I would definitely make this again. II didn't need 9 pieces so I cut the recipe down to 4 pieces and used half of the recipes ingredients for the sauce. I also browned both sides of the thighs in a fry pan before cooking this in the oven on 350 for 30 min and then turning it down to 170 and keeping it warm in a 3 quart covered pan for about 1 hour until I was ready to serve dinner. My husband doesn't usually like BBQ chicken but we both enjoyed this very much. Thank you for restoring his faith in BBQ chicken."
"I made this with chicken breasts( skin and bone on) that were browned in crock pot and then because they are dryer than the thighs I left the cooking juices in. They were sooo good. Everyone raved. Gonna make it with the thighs tonight"
"My family loves this! Another reviewer said it had no flavor? I don't understand that, it has great flavor--maybe it depends on the brand of BBQ sauce one uses. It's simple to prepare and is great for busy days when we can't all sit down together, and everyone can just pick their serving out of the pot. I've also taken it to potlucks and have gotten rave reviews. It's so easy to prepare--a definite winner in my book! (Oh and I've used it with wings for a really great hot hors d'oeuvres!)."
"I really didn't like this. There was really no flavor. I didn't add to much hot sauce. But that is all I tasted."
"My hubby loves this dish and asks for it over and over! It is so good and is very simple to make. A real keeper!"
"Super simple and delicious. My DH asks for it again and again!"
"My 15-year-old son is a very picky eater. So I'm always struggling to find recipes he likes. This one drove him from his room with "what's that great smell?". He liked it, and the recipe now becomes part of my collection. Thanks!"
"We loved the balance of flavors in the dish. Highly Recommend!"
"This is an easy and yummy recipe. I doubled the quantity for hot sauce because we like spicier dishes. I used boneless and skinless chicken and it takes a shorter time in the crock pot to cook. The chicken turns out to be very juicy and tender. I can easily break the chicken into smaller pieces and serve it with rice."
"Super yummy. I did substitute. I used a spicy/sweet mustard and left out the hot pepper sauce and reg mustard, too. I also used grape jelly instead of honey. My kids loved it and asked for it again tomorrow night. Kid tested and definitely mother approved."
"We liked this dish and it was really easy."
"We loved this receipe, with the left over sauce I added meat balls. Will make this receipe again"
