I also cut the rice cereal back 2 cups and instead of graham crackers I use the golden graham cereal. I also just spread the marshmallow creme alone on the cake no sugar or butter. Mic it just a smidge for easy spread. Then torched the top for toasted marshmallow look. Very Good! Thanks for the recipe I would never of dreamed of doing this mixture.
In my opinion, very, very sweet. I think they need to be refrigerated if not eaten right away. The frosting gets softer with the butter in it. I am taking them to a picnic tonight. Hope they get eaten. I cut the squares into bite side pieces as they were way too rich for my taste and a larger square was just too much. On the other hand, my hubby thought they were great, but he does love his sweets. I guess you can't always go by my opinion, try for yourself.
It was OK for me. I think I prefer using Golden Grahms cereal over Rice Kripsies for me.
loved them!! took them camping and they were a big hit!! thanks for sharing....
Fabulous recipe! We took these to a cookout where we knew we wouldn't be making s'mores. Delicious alternative. I would add a bit more frosting and more chocolate squares on top, but that's just personal preference. Thanks for a keeper recipe!
I couldn't keep these in the house because of how fast they were going! Family couldn't stay out of the pan.
Yummy, a big hit! Will make again!
These bars are wonderful and the frosting recipe is delicious. I got rave reviews when I brought them to a family dinner.
To many rice krispies called for. I used 5? cups and the mixture was still very, very thick. Next time I will start with 4 cups of cereal and add the rest in gradually
