Potato Green Bean Medley

I usually start preparing this first for the meal. I often use the fresh beans from our big backyard vegetable garden.—Bonnie Evans, Cameron, North Carolina

potatoes, gr.beans, bacon, salt & pep-I thought "what's the big deal" but, these were better than I expected. Doubled it and left the bacon off top b/c my daughter ate it while I was out of kitchen LOL

Made this many yrs. ago when it was first published. Went hunting for it to add it to my recipe box. It is one of those recipes that I saved, have made many times and wrote "VERY GOOD" on it.

Delicious recipe. To save time we keep our bacon drippings in the refrigerator and freeze crumbled left over bacon pieces. So we didn't have to wait for the bacon to cook.
