- 1 can (8 ounces) pineapple slices
- 1 canned ham (5 pounds)
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- Maraschino cherries
- Drain pineapple, reserving 2 tablespoons of the juice; set aside. Place ham in a baking pan; bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Combine brown sugar, cloves, mustard and vinegar in a small bowl; stir in reserved pineapple juice. Score ham; place pineapple slices and cherries on top of ham; spoon glaze over fruit and ham. Bake for another 40-45 minutes, basting occasionally. Yield: 8-10 servings.
