Nutty Gouda Rolls

- 2 ounces Gouda cheese
- 1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped pecans
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Preheat oven to 375°. Cut cheese into eight 1/2-in.-wide strips. Separate crescent dough into eight triangles; sprinkle with pecans. Place a cheese strip on the shortest side of each triangle; roll up, starting with the side with the cheese. Pinch ends to seal.
- Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake until golden brown, 10-12 minutes. Immediately brush with honey. Serve warm.

My family is pretty picky, so I was surprised that these crescent rolls were a hit with everyone! The savory cheese and pecans are a great way to spice up boring dinner bread. We added bacon pieces for an extra flavor. It was delicious!

Pretty good. I feel like the crescent rolls cheapen what these could be, though. I'm trying to think of the perfect dish to pair them with. They would be great with a slightly sweet wine.
