Noodles and Kraut
Total TimePrep/Total Time: 30 min.
- 2 cups uncooked egg noodles
- 1/4 cup butter, cubed
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup sauerkraut, rinsed and well drained
- Cook noodles according to package directions; drain.
- In a small skillet, melt butter. Add onion; saute until tender. Add noodles and sauerkraut; cook and stir over medium heat for 2 minutes. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Nutrition Facts1 cup: 293 calories, 17g fat (10g saturated fat), 72mg cholesterol, 429mg sodium, 30g carbohydrate (2g sugars, 3g fiber), 6g protein.

Absolutely love this dish. I always double the recipe. I am always trying to gind vegan recipes. I use vegan butter and no egg, macaroni dimpling noodles. I like this better than haluski.

I made no additions and this recipe was delicious as is. Will make it again and again.

Very easy and very good side dish

Its very good, I added Eckrich sausage cut up into circles. Would be good with litte smokie sausages instead of polish sausage.
